oh i got old part two

first there was crossing the line / gradual but inevitable / like being pre-menstrual and later pre-menopausal

a line that zigged and zagged / sneakily took a serpentine path / there were random detours and loop de loops

sometimes the line took a long ride on a merry-go-round or on a roller coaster

there was a lot of to and fro-ing and considerable time gazing in to a mirror

i was still me / post menopausal / officially a senior citizen / shoot i even collected social security and have medicare

William Saroyan wrote once that he didnt know he was going to get old

i always knew that / i just didnt know what it would be like / aging presents one with a fair amount of surprises

and then One Day there was The Moment when i clearly realized OH I got OLD

after all is said and done i will never again be who i was but Get This :

in becoming Old i also become someone New

i mean if Skaterina isnt going to skate what's the next best thing ?

old lady characters simmering on the back burner

Mrs. Foley springs to mind / with her little psychic side kick, Miss Tickle to beat the drum

so Oh i got Old and it's cool and i am ready
