Sammiches

on monday i baked a loaf of classic white sammich bread

using King Arthur Flour from Vermont

i wanted a tomato sammich

using the big round tomato one slice of which will cover one slice of bread

this is one of my home grown tomatoes

(did i mention i am a Tomato Junkie ?)

on tuesday i made some mayonnaise and had a tomato sammich with baby lettuce thinnings picked at dawn

on wednesday i had a sammich with albacore tuna canned by a friend in northern california whose boyfriend caught the tuna

(that was breakfast)

later on wednesday i had a rare coleman hamburger on thin sliced bread with a thick slice of locally grown walla walla onion

(the onion was big enough that one slice covered the bread just like the big round tomato)

with a handful of baby lettuce thinnings

thursday i had another hamburger sammich / this time i toasted the bread

friday i had A Purfect BLT

friday evening while watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games i had a chicken salad sammich

from monday to friday evening i ate six sammiches / i gained a pound

not bad / all things considered

say considering i dont like sammiches all that much except rare and special ones

so today i had three strips of bacon and a zapoteca tomato for breakfast

i had a hamburger salad for lunch (rare meat patty on a bed of mixed greens with a dressing concoction that involves a number of interesting ingredients) (like ginger/hickory)

the remaining loaf of classic white bread will .............. hmmmmmmmmm ..... havent decided yet........stayed tuned in
